EGYPT V.I.P by Dahabiya

Enjoy the Nile as it was truly meant to be enjoyed –under the unfurled canvas sails of a traditional Egyptian sailboat on our V.I.P  Egypt by Dahabiya tour.

An Egypt V.I.P by Dahabiya tour blends the traditionally crafted sailboat of yesterday with all the modern comforts and luxuries of today’s world.

In recent times, Dahabiyas have experienced a revival in popularity as a wonderful alternative to today’s large Nile cruise boats

A Dahabiya conjures up memories of a bygone area on the Nile, a river steeped in mystery and romance, and rich in the history of ancient Egypt.

It offers the opportunity to experience the Nile under sail, enjoying the peace, serenity and romanticism that only a sailboat can provide.

Our Dahabiya is named “Hadeel” which, in Arabic, means the gentle cooing of pigeons.

It is also used as a term to express affection, friendship, peace, and harmony with everything and everyone around.

At this time the “Hadeel” is the newest Dahabiya on the Nile, and is beautifully fitted out in traditional colonial style combined with elegant modern furnishings.

The “Hadeel” comprises only 8 beautifully appointed cabins, each with its own ensuite, including shower, hand basin, toilet and hairdryer.

Each cabin is also equipped with a private safety deposit box and reverse cycle air conditioning .

Other facilities on board include a stylish lounge, a dining room and Jacuzzi.

All public areas are also air conditioned.

The spacious and partially shaded top desk offers guests the opportunity to recline on comfortable deck chairs enjoying the Nile vistas, sunbathing, dining, or watching the breathtaking Nile sunsets.

The “Hadeel” is staffed by an experienced crew of 10 who will ensure your every need is catered for.

As passenger numbers are limited to only 16, we can offer our guests a much more personalised level of service than that experience on the large Nile boats.

All meals are included, and our on board chef is highly skilled at preparing both international and Egyptian cuisine.

Should we experience calm conditions, a small motor vessel is on hand to tow the “Hadeel” until the winds increase.

We offer a number of popular add-ons which can be incorporated into your tour including hot air ballooning over Luxor and more.
